A STORYBOARD

 

 This is the storyboard made by our team (Irati, Irati, Aitziber and Aitana), for a short film about young people and fish. The story is about a girl that is in the kitchen having dinner with her mother and as she doesn't like the fish she has for dinner she gets punished. The punishment is to go to sleep without having dinner, and due to that fact, when she falls asleep, she has a nightmare. In the nightmare she's surrounded by fish and she wakes up panicking. In the end, she goes to the bathroom, as usual every morning, but when she looks herself in the mirror, she happens to have become a fish!!!
PITCH:
1.-A girl having dinner that doesn't like fish.
2.-She gets punished and has a nightmare.
3.- She becomes a fish.

MY FAVOURITE FILM: THE GREATEST SHOWMAN

The Greatest Showman is a 2017 American musical film directed by Michael Gracey in his directorial debut, written by Jenny Bicks and Bill Condon and starring Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson, and Zendaya.

The film starts with the main characters who is P.T. Barnum performing in a show at the circus. Then we can see a flashback to the Barnums childhood and we can see that he is poor and he works with his Dad who is a tailor. While they are working he gets to know Charity who becomes the love of his life, and they finally create a family. Suddenly, he is fired so he decides to create a circus. The memebers of the circus are people who aren't accepted by the society, and it is hard for the main character to gain recognition. He gets obsessed by his job trying to gain more recognition and he lets out his mates and family. But in the end the return all together and finish happily ever after.

As the film is about a circus, it shows a lot of accrobatics and special effects and the way the filmed this makes it more incredible. Also as it is a musical the songs are really important and the dances also. I think the actors did a really good job because their acting was awesome and this improved the film. Also the costumes they use in the circus are incredible and I think it was important to mention it.
Some of the scene that I liked are for example a scene where Zendaya and Zac Efron are singing and dancing together and they do a lot of acrobatics. They use slow motion to focus on the moment and it really works,it is an amazing scene. Their is also another scene were the members of the circus feel left out by the main character, and they start singing the son Thi is me, to show that the are also part of the society and they are important to.

I would recommend this film for those who like musical and romantic film, because there are a lot of songs that in my opinion make the film look better because with the songs they transmit their feeling.

- YOU: the main character is happy with his family and job.
- NEED: he's fired and he wants to create a circus.
- GO: they have to create a business from 0.
- SEARCH: he works a lot to get what he wants.
- FIND: he creates a circus.
- TAKE: but he gets obsessed of his job and he wants to get more, so he leaves out his mates.
- RETURN: finally he returns with his family and his work mates.
- CHANGE: now he is happy with his life.

During this christmas holiday, we have been filming a video of the heritage of our city. Like it was
Christmas, we though that it was a good idea to film our traditions in these days. The history of this film
is about a student who falls sleep in class and then she starts dreaming about Christmas holiday. For
this, we have been filming around our city in those important days. In the end, the student wakes up
and she realizes that she was in class and that all have been a beautiful dream.

FILM: Battleship Potemkin

This is the pitch of this film:

- On board the Battleship Potemkin the conditions are really bad, so the sailors decide to put themselves against the officers.
- A lot of officers arrive and start to kill citizens on the steps.
- A fleet of battleships comes to destroy the Potemkin but the sailors join them.

The story pattern:

- YOU: A group of sailors are working on the Battleship Potemkin.
- NEED: The sailors want to improve their conditions on board.
- GO: The sailors start a revolution against the officers.
- SEARCH: The sailors are happy because with the revolution they are going to get better conditions.
- FIND: The officers are killed, so the battleship is liberated.
- TAKE: A lot of citizens are killed.
- RETURN: In this way the Russian Revolution starts.
- CHANGE: The sailors achieve what they wanted.
  
 

FILM: Battleship Potemkin Essay

It is certainly true that this movie is one of the greatest silent films of all time. This was recorded in the Soviet Union and it was released on 21 December 1925. Battleship Potemkin was directed by Sergei Eisenstein and it was his second full-length film. The most important actors of this historical drama film are Aleksandr Antonov, Vladimir Barsky, Grigori Aleksandrov and Beatrice Vitoldi who have an important  role in the movie.

Regarding the content this film presents a dramatized version of the mutiny that occurred in 1905 when the crew of the Russian Battleship Potemkin rebelled against their officers. As it is an historical drama the director did a great job trying to create a captivating conflict,and he he achieve it. The main characters are Grigory Vakulinchuk who was one of the sailors who rebelled, Commander Golikov, Chief Officer Giliarovsky and the woman with the baby carriage. My favourite character is Grigory Vakulinchuk because he finally realized that they were getting a very bad treatment from the captains, and that motivated him to rebel against them with the help of his companions, and that is why they recorded this film.
The conflict is resolved when the sailors of the Potemkin decide to take the battleship out from the port of Odessa to face the fleet of the Tsar. Just when battle seems inevitable, the sailors of the Tsarist squadron refuse to open fire, cheering and shouting to show solidarity with the mutineers and allowing the Potemkin, to pass between their ships.

In terms of the technique I really liked the actors work because as it is a silent film, they try to express their feelings in another way and they did a great job. As I already said it is a silent movie so the conversations aren't very necessary, but in the film we can see little sentences and i think these are really important to undertand better the film. 
Also as this film was recorded in 1925 we can't really see a very good use of the cameras, however i think they did a really good job. They used different angles and perspectives so the film was good detalled, but i have to saw that in my opinion the film was a little bit slow because they spent a lot of time focusing on the details and not in the story.
Furthermore, the music is really important in the silent films because as you don't have conversations that is why the music is the best way to express different feelings, and the music they chose it is really good and reflects very good what the director is trying to express in each scene.
However, in my opinion, not all the scenes portrayed in the film ring true, but this is because as i already sais it is film from 1925 and they obviously didn't have all the resources that nowadays we have. For example there is a scene when the sailors rebel and they start fighting with officers, there you can easily see that they are not really fighting. Also in the scene of the stairs of Odessa a soldiers shoots a women and we can see her eye, this obviously is fake but they did a great job.



Leaving aside this scenes the film in general seems real. Also the film is really good edited and follows clearly what the director is trying to tell. Here they added the sentences that i already said and that are really important for me.

To conclude i would say that i liked the film because it shows an important passage history and in that way i learned more about it. In general i really like historical films, because like that you are able to know what people had to live and how hard it was. And i think this film is in the given list because it is one of the greatest films of all time and i think everyone should watch it.

NEIGHBOURHOOD'S PICTURE

Our teacher told us that we had to take a picture on the neighbourhood of the school, and as this is also wherer I live and I really love this place, I decided to take a picture of the church. I think this is a really beautiful place in my neighbourhood and it was worth taking a picture of it.
Regarding the technique, i took the photo from the floor because in that way you can see all the church and also because the branches of the tress make the church look mysterious, and they give you the opportunity to focus your attention on the church. Also as last term we worked with photography you can easily see the simetry and the use of the rule of thirds.
